>> this is kpix5 news. >> talk about a flight from hell. it took three planes and more than 12 hours before these passengers even took off. >> at oakland international tonight with a story you will only see on kpix5 5. juliette goodrich? >> reporter: customers were so fed up on board their flight, they contacted kpix5 and sent us video statements while they were stuck on their flight. they had to be on three different flights because of mechanic problems today.

flight 1032 was supposed to go to provo, utah. but then they had to board another plane. a plane to las vegas was too overheated to fly. they boarded a third plane from mesa. they sat on the runway only to return to the terminal because of fuel problems. they were stuck on the tarmac at oakland international airport. >> i have been imprisoned by athis place for five hours. >> are you going to play allegiance? >> never again. >> never going to go this airline again. i have been at the airport since 6:00 this morning. i am so fed up with this airport. >> cruel and unusual punishment.

caper. it is never a good day when there is a ford mustang sized hole in your bedroom, but it could have been a lot worse. gonzalez was home in his bedroom watching mission impossible 2 around 3:00 when he heard something on jackson street. gonzalez was on the receiving end of a very tom cruise-like moment. >> bang, smash. >> reporter: then out popped a driver who made the turn from winton to jackson a little too quickly. he told gonzalez this. >> my car is totaled. >> reporter: kind of like gonzalez's house. neighbor enrique came home to fire engines and red tape reading keep out. eight other people are looking for a place to stay tonight.

the building is not safe. but for gonzalez who was inches away from being run over by the car, the pain of having a hole in his bedroom is overshadowed by this feeling. >> very lucky. valor. as sonoma county prepared for this, andy lopez pointed a toy gun at gailhouse. he feels terrible. >> it is a horrible tragedy for all involved. >> reporter: but here at the neighborhood memorial where people have gathered for six night ins a row, there is no sympathy for the deputy. >> what do you feel toward the deputy? >> i'm mad. i'm just, it sucks to lose one of my friends. >> reporter: the deputy has been a prolific contributor to gun websites. a veteran of the war in iraq, he was commissioned to write an article in swat magazine in

start by towing the barge at treasure island and docking it at fort mason. one way for them to fulfill their requirement if fort mason is not the only place they dock the barge. it is not meant just to float, but be towed. but larry goldsman says it is not that simple. there is speculation if they only keep it 30 days at fort mason, 30 days to oakland, they are not keeping it in any one spot and it is a unique water only purpose, they couldn't do that on land. >> the question is, is it a water only purpose? we deponent know what the purpose of this vessel is so we don't know if this vessel's purpose is maritime related so that has to be discovered as part of the permit process as well. >> reporter: unless google plans to leave the bay altogether, goldsman says it will steel need a permit. allen martin, kpix5.

and it is still snowing at last check. in the sierra. lots of ski resorts, folks up there are smiling because this means we are getting closer and closer to ski season beginning. it will feel closer and close tore winter tomorrow. look at these lows. napa, 42, oakland, 49, san jose, 48. redwood city, 45 chilly degrees. here is the setup in the skies above us. we have a big area spinning off to the east. not far enough way way to worry about the wind, but with all the moisture coming up, we are on the cold and dry side. we will not see rainfall from this system, but we will see some chilly air throughout the day tomorrow with highs in the low 60s . on wednesday, still with sunshine, highs not hitting 70 and won't until thursday. high pressure builds in, that storm is gone, we are be sunny and wilder with highs back in the 70s but it will feel like late fall out there. nights will be chilly.
